The Hermitage was built in 1965 when U.S. 250 was a busy north-south artery. With a reputation for good reasonable food, hundreds would fill the restaurant daily. Today more leisurely visitors of "Nature's Mountain Playground" enjoy good family dining with regular menu dishes such as General Bartow's Ribeye Steak and the Hermitage’s Bumbleberry Pie. Stop by for breakfast
or dinner. The dining room seats 80 including the booths. Tour buses can be accommodated by pre-arrangement. |
