The Hermitage was built in 1965 when U.S. 250 was a busy north-south artery. With a reputation for good reasonable food, hundreds would fill the restaurant daily. Today more leisurely visitors of "Nature's Mountain Playground" enjoy good family dining with regular menu dishes such as General Bartow's Ribeye Steak and the Hermitage’s Bumbleberry Pie. Stop by for breakfast
or dinner. The Restaurant is operating on a shoulder season schedule. Dinner is available on Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings. Breakfast is available on Friday, Saturday and Sunday mornings. There are a few local choices for eating in the Northern Pocahontas area. Ask our staff for operating hours and more details. The dining room seats 80 including the booths.
